Glitch Collectief

GLITCH is an organization that creates safe spaces for the queer and bipoc community and anyone that doesn’t feel at home at the everyday party scene of Leeuwarden. With the goal to enrich the cultural scene in Leeuwarden, to bring diversity and merge disciplines to create a new and inspiring environment.

As GLITCH, we host interdisciplinary club events where we bring together music, performance art, visual art and media art. Besides that, we also host community events such as  movie nights, crafting workshops or a clothing swap.

Our locations have always been different ones, but the city in which we organize our events is always Leeuwarden, because we feel that this is the place that needs the enrichment of culture.

Fluxus Labas!

NGO “Community Laboratories” was established in early 2021 to ensure the legacy of the Kaunas – European Capital of Culture 2022 community programme “Fluxus Labs!” activities, to provide consultations in the field of community engagement and co-creation issues, and organise training.

The founding members of the organisation are “Fluxus Labs!” team members who have developed and implemented Community Programme in 2017 – 2022. During this period, 3 long-term trainings for community facilitators were implemented (duration 3-6 months), combining theoretical knowledge and direct practical activities in communities. What is more, almost 500 events of different scales (e.g. Courtyard Festival, Fluxus Festival, neighborhood festivals) were organised in collaboration with professional artists and local communities, and over 90 lasting co-creation products were created.

Based on the experience of 2017-2022, the team of NGO “Community Laboratories” has published a "Methodology for Working with Communities" in 2023, and as a continuation of the activities, the Community Labs is a partner of the Erasmus+ project "Soup" and the Creative Europe project "Magic Carpets" (as an organizer of trainings).
